The most common fire door is the FD30 certified door, this has been tested and certified for 30 minutes of fire protection. Some buildings will require an FD60 door to be fitted, so please make sure you check with your fire safety advisor before ordering. The FD60 door is becoming more popular for general use as they have a fire halt rating of 60 minutes.
With fire safety doors fitted, you can shut off the spread of the fire. This will give you, your family or co-workers up to 30 or 60 minutes of time to safely exit the building by containing the fire behind the safety door. Everyone hopes that this buffer will never be required, but we can offer you the best protection in case of emergency.
Please keep to advice either from building regulations or safety officers when fitting fire doors, as frames and intumescent strips are needed to ensure regulations are met.
No one wants to think of their home having a fire. We are here to ensure you have the best quality fire doors, to help prevent the spread of fire, without compromising on style.
